Born in the East End of London during World War Two I completed my education and art studies in England. In 1972 I came to Australia with my husband and two young children. After arriving in Australia I completed a degree in education. On completion of my degree I worked as an art teacher with the Education Department.

Art has always been my passion since a very young age and I am lucky that I have been able to share my love of art and teaching with many children and adults over the years.

Having been an art teacher I have covered many different genres of art, watercolour, pastels, oils, drawing and acrylics also many different styles from traditional to abstract. I love sculpture and handbuilt pottery was my favourite art medium.

When I retired from teaching it gave me time to work on my own art and for me the time I spend painting is very precious. I now like to paint mainly in acrylics from semi abstract landscape to pure abstract work. Everything I paint comes from inside, based on memories and life experiences.

I am lucky in that I still have a small group of adults who I teach voluntarily once a week, this session is more like a group of friends who get together to paint with a little help from me.

I hope you enjoy looking at my art, I have many works for sale at my studio which is in my home in Kallaroo and you are always welcome to come and have a browse.
