Newcastle Community Art Centre is dedicated to supporting the development of community-focused arts activities by individuals, groups and organisations. NCAC also supports the arts and artists by providing a physical space that houses  30 artist studios and teaching rooms, an artist-run gallery (NAS) and a theatre (the Black Box).

Founded in 1983, the Newcastle Community Arts Centre is a not for profit company limited by guarantee and has charity status. We aim to build partnerships with other community organisations to create a range of arts projects promoting cultural development throughout Newcastle and the Hunter.
